That was the scene, 7 p.m. Thursday in front of Centralia’s Chester Boren Middle School.

The event was the christening of CBMS’ new flag pole and raising of its two new flags, the Red White and Blue and the Missouri State Flag.

“I have fond memories of being a student at Chester Boren Middle School,” Chrisman, a 2017 CHS graduate said when asked what brought her back to sing. “The progress the school is making is wonderful and I can say it was truly an honor to be a part of it.”

Nathan Gordon, CBMS principal conceived the event.
