Weather Permitting Wednesday, May 15, 2013, APAC of Missouri; on behalf of Boone County Resource Management, will begin an asphalt overlay project on Akeman Bridge Road from Highway VV to Wade School Road; and on Wade School Road from Akeman Bridge Road to Mauller Road. Work will occur between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. Roads will remain open, but be reduced to 1 lane of traffic.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin striping Interstate 70 in central Missouri beginning May 9, weather permitting. Then, beginning May 13, crews will stripe area roadways 24 hours a day to meet the goal of striping all major highways, including Interstates 70 and 44, by Memorial Day. Dipping temperatures will require MoDOT to close the Route B bridge over the Osage River in Cole County on Thursday night rather than Wednesday evening as planned. Westbrook Drive at Route 63 near the Boone/Callaway county line will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, April 3) due to work to stabilize a rock bluff at that location. Westbrook Drive intersects Route 63 at two locations.
