More than 50 people sat in the breeze inside the Centralia Fairgrounds’ west pole barn the evening of June 26.
The were there to witness the changing of the guard, the crowning of new Centralia Fair royalty.
Events did not disappoint.
In the Little Mr. and Miss competition, Lexi Wainscott won the 4-5 years-old girls’ division;
Graham Hedberg won the 4-5 years boys division
Makenna Reynolds won the 6-7 years girls division.
Sawyer Reynolds won the 6-7 boys division
McKenna Reynolds was crowned Little Miss Centralia, Sawyer Reynolds – Little Mr. Centralia.
Bree Stowers won the crown of Jr. Princess and Annamarie Stone was crowned Fair Princess.
Then Laura Morris and Emily Bruns faced off for the crown of 2019 Centralia Fair Queen.
For the talent portion of the competition, Morris recited a portion of her lines from the Presser Hall play in which she is working, “Fiddler on the Roof.”
For hers, Burns demonstrated, with a large, cute, stuffed animal version of an Angus calf, how to clean a show-calf for a cattle show.
The judges, Kassie Rankin and Schyler Angell, after much deliberation, chose Bruns.
