A Panther vocalist is putting Centralia on the map.
Or at least his pipes are putting Centralia High School on the map. Kyle Haskell, a CHS senior has qualified to sing in this year’s All-State choir.
Saturday, January 27 at 3:30 p.m., Haskell will be singing the bass part in five songs when the choir makes its debut at Tan-Tar-A at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Haskell and the rest of the State Choir will be singing: Weep, I Mine Eyes by John Bennet; Look Up, Look Down by John Wykoff; Even When He Is Silent by Kim André Arnesen; Great God Almighty by Stacey V. Gibbs and Cantata No. 172 by J.S. Bach
He got there, said Leah Rolfson, CHS vocal music instructor, due to his exceptional performance with the district choir, November 4 at Moberly High School.
