Dozens of Centralia High School FFA students hustled back and forth across the chilly cement floor of the CHS Ag. shop the morning of December 22.

They were there loading boxes with food for conclusion of the annual CHS FFA canned food drive.

As morning progressed students loaded boxes of holiday food provisions into Scott Stone’s car and Phil Neely’s truck and both Ag. advisors rolled back and forth across Centralia as well as to at least one location in Columbia delivering some Christmas cheer to those who could use a little extra help this Christmas season.

Organizers said the food drive, which ran from Dec. 1 through Dec. 21 would help at least 10 local families have better, more nutritious, more filling holiday meals. The drive also provided several cases of food stuffs to Esther’s Pantry at Crossroads Cathedral Assembly of God Church.
