A Centralia landmark may be going the way of the streetcars, Dodo birds and five-cent coffee.
The evening of December 27, a majority of the 33 shareholders of the Centralia Golf and Social Club, home of Centralia’s golf course and the Chop House 41 restaurant, voted to close the doors. The shareholder passed a motion directing the board to exhaust all potential options to keep the golf course running and intact.
A message to shareholders read in part:
“It was decided that the Centralia Golf and Social Club will be discontinuing operations in light of the current financial condition.”
