During their April 16 meeting, the Centralia Park Board released the financial figures regarding the purchase of the Centralia Golf and Social Club.
During the meeting, Mike Kinkead, Park Board president presented the following statement, a breakdown of the price and remaining balance of golf course-, according to the board’s draft minutes.
“The purchase cost was $560,000. The City of Centralia paid $67,500, the Park Department paid $67,500, a private donor donated $135,000, many shareholders donated a total amount of $179, 692, and the Chamber of Commerce donated $2,000. This leaves a remaining balance of $108, 308.”
Kinkead also presented a financial proposal, approved by the board, for keeping the course pool open.
