Centralia High School Wrestling closed the regular season portion of their schedule at home Friday, February 2nd by winning a pair of duals over Blair Oaks 57-18 and Fulton 38-35.

Versus Blair Oaks, the Panthers wasted little time opening a 6-0 lead with a win by fall from A.J. Hombs (120) over J. Griggs in 1:59 but fell behind 6-12 by the time Carson Sanders (138) stepped to the mat for the final time of his senior season. Sanders evened the score 12-12 by pinning James Thompson in 4:27 and beginning a Panther onslaught of five straight victories including Anthony Stevens (145), Grafton Littrell (152), Ethan Hargis (160) and Luke Hunter (170).

“Sanders has been a part of Centralia Wrestling for a long time” said Coach Luke Gramke. “I know it was a special night for him winning at home one last time. This season we have wrestled extremely well in front of our home crowd and Friday was no exception. Our community does a tremendous job of creating an environment that electrifies our wrestlers.”
