Hallsville High School’s Class of 2020 is one of many firsts for the district. The Hallsville School District held its first outdoor graduation for the 99 graduating seniors on Friday evening on their football field. The outdoor area allowed for one formal commencement ceremony for the entire class on the front part of the field and their families and guests to be socially distanced on the remaining part of the field and bleachers. Hannah Lauffer, spoke to her classmates about how fortunate she has been to attend Hallsville Schools. She spoke of her class being the first to attend the newly built Hallsville Primary School as kindergartners when it opened in 2007.

She said it was fitting that their last days as Hallsville Indians they would all gather at the primary school one more time before the ceremony for cap and gown pictures.
