Hallsville splits courtwarming with Southern Boone

It was a rollercoaster of a courtwarming night at Hallsville R-V, Friday, February 8.

The Lady Indians beat the visiting Southern Boone County Lady Eagles 65-54.

The Hallsville’s boys, however lost to the Eagles, 60-45.

Juniper Chrisman and Samuel Lockwood won  the crowns of Hallsville court warming queen and king.

Avery Oetting led the Lady Indians with a game-high 27 points, followed by Emily Leer with 14 and Lauren Proctor with eight.

Sadie Giles led Southern Boone with 12.

The Lady Indians led the game 18-9 in the first, 31-17 in the second and 44-37 in the third before taking the win. They are now 8-15 on the season. The Lady Eagles left Hallsville with an 11-11 record.

On the boys side, BJ Fisher led the Indians with 16 points, followed by Clayton Cook with 10 a Jaylen George with nine.

Rece Gilmore led Southern Boone, and the game, with 25 points.

The Indians led the first quarter, 12-10, the second, 24-20, then Southern Boone caught them and tool the lead 36-34 in the third, before taking the win.

Hallsville’s boys now have an 11-13, record. The Southern Boone Eagles are now 19-2.
