Lady Panthers win bronze honors at Macon Tournament

Beat Mexico 53-43

Centralia’s Lady Panthers got to disburse a little payback Saturday afternoon in the Macon Tournament.

Last season they lost to the Mexico Lady Bulldogs at the Macon Tournament.

This season they returned the favor, leading three out of four quarters to win the third-place contest 53-43.

Mexico finished the first quarter up 9-8, with the score tied at least three times along the way.

Centralia led by one at halftime, 22-21, then started to pull away and finished the third, 40-33.

Jozelynn Bostick led Centralia with 10 points, followed by Baylee Beard and Morgan Ross with nine. All Ross’ were three-point shots. Annie Robinson scored eight.

Mexico was led by Alexi Willer with 15 an Mya Miller with 10.
