Except for a portion of the fourth quarter the Lady Panthers dominated Salisbury.
The now 3-1 Lady Panthers next play Boonville, 6 p.m. Wednesday night in round two of the Centralia Invitational.
The Ladies had a tough moment in the fourth quarter when Salisbury temporarily took the lead, 27-26.
After a minute, Jozelynn Bostick tied the score with a three-point shot from the east side. Then Claire Bennett sank a jumper to pull Centralia ahead and Annie Robinson pulled them away with another jumper. By the time the dust had cleared, Centralia led 33-29.
From there Centralia maintained control till the end.
“At halftime I told them everything we needed to change was fixable,” Centralia Head Coach Becca Schemmer said afterward. “We played flat the first three quarters and they did a good job of blocking our shots.”
The Lady Panthers are now 3-1.
