Sturgeon FFA Chicken Dinner a savory success

At least 450 people crowded into the Sturgeon K-8 building on Patton Street

They filled the cafeteria and gymnasium. Sitting along folding tables topped with white vinyl table cloths and decorated with twisting ribbons of FFA blue and gold crepe paper, they were there to chow down on the more than 640 pounds of fresh kettle-fried chicken and 350 pounds of mashed potatoes Sturgeon FFA supporters had been working on since approximately 5:30 a.m.
