Sweat-popping heat, that special ache in your forearms you know you’re going to feel tomorrow morning, the funny feeling you get in the ears after a couple hours of wearing ear-plugs – those are all common sensations for Ethan Lee.

Lee, a 2010 graduate of Sturgeon High School is a bladesmith now living in Gonzales, Louisiana about to take his first step onto his craft’s national stage.

Wednesday, 8 p.m., March 13, Lee and his bladesmithing will be featured on the internationally-televised show “Forged in Fire.”

It is a big step for Lee, a maintenance mechanic at a Louisiana steel mill, who was introduced to blacksmithing and knife-making at the age of 11, when he saw a blacksmithing demonstration in Branson’s Silver Dollar City.
