Volunteers hosting yard sale in Centralia to help Esther’s pantry

Members of the congregation of the Crossroad Cathedral Assembly of God church are banding together to help support “Esther’s Pantry,” a Centralia food pantry.

Located in the basement of the Centralia Assembly of Good church at the corner of Allen and Barnes Streets, the pantry has been helping feed Centralia for 10 years.

The yard sale will be held 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to noon at 905 E. Booth Street.

“I definitely think it is an important resource for Centralia… The demographics of this town, for some, transportation is a challenge” Centralia City Administrator Heather Russell said, “and places like Esther’s Pantry are important for those who are unable to get to places like the Foodbank of Central Missouri.“
