SHIRLEY JEAN REYNOLDS

Shirley Jean Reynolds, 83 of Holden, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Holden Manor Care Center.
 Shirley was born July 1, 1941 in Sedalia, Missouri the daughter of Harold “Bud” Reynolds and Doris E. (Cole/Reynolds) Williams. She attended school in Raytown and Lone Jack, MO. She lived most of her life in Centralia, MO where she raised her children with her husband, J.C. Scrutchfield, who worked for A.B. Chance Company. She enjoyed sewing clothes, traveling, camping and square dancing during that time. J.C. and Shirley were married for eighteen years. She later worked in food service until she retired. Shirley spent many years with her best friend and companion, Marvin Sly, until his death, 2009. She moved to Holden, MO after his death to be closer to her siblings. She was a yarn crazy crocheter, reader and crossword puzzle maniac.
 Survivors include her daughter: Wanda Swinton (Da­vid) of Johnston, IA; son: Les Scrutchfield (Joy) of Kansas City, MO; two brothers: Jim Reynolds (Cindy) of Holden, MO and John Reynolds, also of Holden; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nu­merous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was pre­ceded in death by her parents; sister: Sharon “Kate” (Joe) Lunt; sister-in-law: Shirley Ann Reynolds and two nephews: Eric Reynolds and Jared Reynolds.
 In lieu of a Funeral Service, Shirley requested a Celebration of Life. The family will plan this at a later date
