WILLIAM HAROLD ”BILL” MILLER

William Harold “Bill” Miller, age 87, formerly of Centralia, died May 5, 2025 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass at the church on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Centralia City Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held directly following in the church rectory.
Bill was born on October 18, 1937, in Mexico, Missouri, the son of George Harold and Ruth Lillian (Quigley) Miller.
On June 4, 1966, he married Joyce Ann (Oldham), who preceded him in death in 2010 after 44 years of marriage.
Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960 then earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1963. He had a distinguished career, working for A.B. Chance Company (Hubbell) for 43 years until his retirement in 2007. He also served as the treasurer for the city of Centralia for 43 years and worked for the Chance Foundation until he moved to be close to his daughter in Williamsburg. Bill actively contributed to his community over the years serving as Cub Scout Den Master and was on the boards of the Boone Country Retirement Center, The Centralia Historical Society and the United Way. He was a proud member of the Centralia Kiwanis Club for over 50 years, receiving distinctive recognition for his years of service, a life member of the Mizzou Alumni Association, and an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Bill is survived by his 2 children; son, William Kevin Miller, Davison, Michigan; daughter, Joy Michelle (Miller) Gareau and husband Brett, Williamsburg, Virginia; grandchildren Mackenzie Gareau, Allyse Miller, Lillian (L.J.) Miller, and Breccan Miller.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of service, devotion to his family and commitment to community will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or The Centralia Historical Society Museum & Gardens and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home 104 S.
