Lester Glen “Pete” Brooks, age 85, of Centralia, passed away at his home on June 5, 2025.
 Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13th at the First Baptist Church in Centralia, Missouri. Burial with Full Military Honors to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
 Pete was born on September 25, 1939 in Sturgeon, Missouri, the son of Lester A and Jewel (McCauley) Brooks.
 Pete proudly served in the United States Army and retired from A.B. Chance. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and enjoyed serving as an honorary member for the Centralia VFW.
 He was an avid tractor enthusiast who enjoyed mowing and tilling gardens.
 Pete is survived by his two children; daughter, Kim Kelly and husband Bret; son, Mike Brooks and wife Shelbi; grandchildren Bekah Hopkins (Bryce), Monikah Kelly (Brian), Bretlyn Sheperd (Sam), Brandon Kelly (Elizabeth), Nicholas Brooks, Jayden Brooks; great-grandchildren Marlee, Drake, Adler, and Sammy; a brother, Donald Brooks (Beverly) of Sturgeon, MO and a sister, Shirley Zaring of Centralia, MO. He is also survived by many friends and family that lovingly referred to him as Uncle Pete.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Peggy Crigler, a sister Edith Cates, and his second wife Linda (Barnes) Brooks.
