Centralia’s Rotarians are staging a tasty benefit the Centralia Senior Center.
Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, along with fresh, crispy French fries are on the menu Saturday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Centralia Senior Center as the as the Rotarians hold a come-as-you-are or drive through dining benefit for the Senior Center.
Rotary vice president Josh Hanley said the Senior Center plays an important role in Centralia and the club wanted to help.
“And it is a special interest of one of our new members, Todd Alden and his wife,” Hanley said. “They are very passionate about the Senior Center and what is does and we want to support them in that.”
Besides a perfect summer afternoon meal of hot dogs, hamburgers, fries; along with water, lemonade or iced tea to drink, there will also be ice-cream for desert.
Hanley said they are planning Corn Hole and other games for family entertainment.
Rotarians will handle the grilling.
“With all the burgers, dogs and curly fries we grill and fry at the Centralia Panther home football games, we’ve got a little expertise in this area,” Hanley said. “Our hope is to sell out. All the proceeds will go to benefit the Senior Center.”
