Iola Meeks, 97, passed away at her home in Centralia on February 27, 2025.
 Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia.
 Iola was born on May 1, 1927, in Perry, MO, the fourth and last surviving of the eleven children of Carl and Ruth (Vogel) Potter.
 On September 12, 1946, she was united in marriage to Julius “Juby” Meeks in Fulton, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1991.
 Iola loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed family reunions, card games and embroi­dery.
 Along with her husband, Juby, Iola was preceded in death by her son, Doug, infant grandson, Billy Ballard, grandson, Ben Ballard, her parents.
 Iola is survived by her son Andy Meeks and wife Sue, daughter, Brenda Ballard and husband Greg; grandchildren, Grant Ballard, Ty Ballard, Joe Meeks, Angie Burkhead and Sherra Diemeke; nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
