Alma Jacquelyn Cook, 93 of Centralia passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia.
Services will be held at a later date.
Jacquelyn was born on May 16, 1929, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Archibald and Helen (Bunch) McNicol.
On August 20, 1949, Jacquelyn married Earl David Cook, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1987.
Jacquelyn is survived her children, David Owen Cook and wife Melinda (Mitchell) Cook of Cameron Park, CA, Dale Edward Cook and wife Laura (Haines) Cook of Fredericksburg, TX, Elizabeth Ann Cook and husband James Eugene “Gene” Gardner of Jefferson City, Daniel Earl Cook and wife Denise (Davidson) Cook of Dillon, CO, and Dean Cook of Centralia; grandchildren, Kate Cook, Christopher Cook, Seth Cook, Natalie Cook, Rachel Bryant and husband Johnny, Stephanie Gardner and husband Ray, Nathan Cook, and Brendan Cook; 5 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Jonathan and Jeremy Cook, a granddaughter, Andrea Cook, and a brother, James “Bill” McNicol.
Jacquelyn enjoyed outdoor adventures, traveling and her pets and she was a licensed pilot. Jacquelyn and her husband operated a farm in Centralia and the H&R Block office in Mexico for many years. She also worked for the USDA as a meat inspector and as a real estate agent. In retirement, Jacquelyn volunteered as a docent for the Audrain Historical Society Museum.
