The big show is coming to Centralia!

The morning of Sunday, September 3, the Anchor City Car and Bike Show will surround the Centralia City Square Park with the four- and two-wheeled works of art, masterpieces of chrome, steel, aluminum and fiberglass, the best the world’s auto- and motorcycle makers have to offer.

It will be a good time, said organizer Tim Stevens.

“We will have DJ Tammy Ladwig providing music and at least two food vendors,” Stevens said. “The American Legion will be grilling brauts and barbecuing pulled pork. Hometown Nutrition on the north side of the square will be open and serving their delicious selection of ice creams, teas, and shakes. And the cars, those cars, trucks and motorcycles are works of art, people will love seeing them.”

The event opens 8 a.m., with display and participant judging till 11. Awards are schedule for presentation at 3, but Stevens said it will likely be earlier because of the heat.

“But people are welcome to keep their cars there longer and a lot will.

As of Aug., 24, at least 30 participants have pre-registered, and organizers expect at least 250 by Sunday morning.

There are 10 classes to compete in: Classic, Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Imports, Sport, Motorcycles, Muscle Cars – modern, Muscle Cars – 80s and older, Trucks – modern and Trucks – 80s and older.
