Audrain, Boone County COVID-19 update

Active cases dropping in Boone and Audrain

The health departments of Audrain and Boone County have issued updated Coronavirus data.

Audrain, as of February 9, has had 1,667 cases, and currently, 20 active ones, a drop from last Tuesday.

According to Chris Newbrough, ACHD’s emergency planner,  Audrain County has had 50 deaths from the virus. According to a news release from his office, 1,597 people have recovered from the virus.

The department also said there were, as of February 2, 15 cases in Mexico – down from previous week’s.

In Boone County there were: 16,981 recorded cases; 359 active cases – down by 110 from this time last week; 16,551 of those who contracted the virus have been released from isolation and 71 deaths.

As of February 9, according to the BCHSD web site, Missouri has had 466,664 cases of Coronavirus, resulting in 7,143 deaths.
