Audrain, Boone County, COVID-19 update for October 27

The health departments of Audrain and Boone County have issued updated Coronavirus data.

Audrain, as of October 27, has had 505 cases – not including inmates of Women’s Easter Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center. The rest of the county has 45 active cases.

None are travel-related and all are due to community transmission. According to Chris Newbrough, ACHD’s emergency planner, 452 of those who contracted the Coronavirus are fully recovered and Audrain County has had eight deaths from the virus. According to a news release from his office, 12,219 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 11,714 testing negative, or virus-free.

The latest Boone County Department of Health and Senior Service data states: 6,060 recorded cases; 389 active cases; 5,655 of those who contracted the virus have been released from isolation and 16 deaths.

As of October 20, Missouri has had 172,717 cases of Coronavirus, resulting in 2,838 deaths.
