The health departments of Audrain and Boone County have issued updated Coronavirus data.
Audrain, as of October 13, has had 822 cases, 136 of which are active, 77 of those are long-term care cases associated with the Tri County Care Center and 394 of them are associated with the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia.
Additionally, 249 of the positive cases are associated with Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia.
None are travel-related and all are due to community transmission. According to Chris Newbrough, ACHD’s emergency planner, 681 of those who contracted the Coronavirus are fully recovered and Audrain County has had five deaths from the virus. According to a news release from his office, 10,942 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 10,120 testing negative, or virus-free.
The latest Boone County Department of Health and Senior Service data states: 5,236recorded cases; 329 active cases; 4,894 of those who contracted the virus have been released from isolation and 13 deaths.
As of September 29, Missouri has had 144,230 cases of Coronavirus, resulting in 2,422 deaths.
