The health departments of Audrain and Boone County have issued updated Coronavirus data.
Audrain, as of October 20, has had 851 cases, 134 of which are active, 77 of those are long-term care cases associated with the Tri County Care Center and 406 of them are associated with the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia.
None are travel-related and all are due to community transmission. According to Chris Newbrough, ACHD’s emergency planner, 709 of those who contracted the Coronavirus are fully recovered and Audrain County has had eight deaths from the virus. According to a news release from his office, 11,492 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 10,641 testing negative, or virus-free.
The latest Boone County Department of Health and Senior Service data states: 5,671 recorded cases; 361 active cases; 5,295 of those who contracted the virus have been released from isolation and 15 deaths.
As of October 20, Missouri has had 159,625 cases of Coronavirus, resulting in 2,615 deaths.
