The health departments of Audrain and Boone County have issued updated Coronavirus data.
None are travel-related and all are due to community transmission. According to Sandra Hewlett, ACHD’s director, 244 of those who contracted the Coronavirus are fully recovered and Audrain County has had only one death from the virus. According to a news release from her office, 5,858 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 5,586 testing negative, or virus-free.
The latest Boone County Department of Health and Senior Service data states: 2,709 recorded cases; 691 active cases; 2,011 of those who contracted the virus have been released from isolation and seven deaths.
As of September 1, Missouri has had 85,755 cases of Coronavirus, resulting in 1,538 deaths.
