Audrain, Boone County updated Coronavirus data

The health departments of Audrain and Boone County have issued updated Coronavirus data.

Audrain, as of June 12, has had 122 cases, 18 of which are active.

None are travel-related and all are due to community transmission. According to Sandra Hewlett, ACHD’s director, 103 of those who contracted the Coronavirus are fully recovered and Audrain County has had only one death from the virus. According to a news release from her office, 2,128 people have been tested for COVID-19, with 2,006 testing negative, or virus-free.

The latest Boone County data states: 207 recorded cases; 38 active cases; 167 of those who contracted the virus have been released from isolation and two deaths.

According to the BCHD website, 32 of the cases are travel-related, 110 from contact to a confirmed case, 59 came from community transmission and six of unknown origin.

As of June 12, Missouri has had 15,585 cases of Coronavirus, resulting in 872 deaths.
