Bette L. Powers

Bette L. Powers, 87 of Centralia, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Charles.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Centralia City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bette was born on February 15, 1935, in Centralia, the daughter of Dan and Fern (Fast) Williams.

On June 6, 1952 in Arkansas, Bette married Franklin D. Powers and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2019.

Bette is survived by her son, Steve Powers, grandchildren, Jason P. Kuntz (Darla) of Richmond, TX, Heather Sweeten (Heath Spencer) of St. Charles; great-grandchildren, Jacob Sweeten, Jacey Kuntz, Jorie Kuntz, Jaida Kuntz and one on the way; siblings, Irene Turner of Woodway, TX, Selma Burnett of Centralia, Bernice Wulff of Columbia, Gayle McCoy of Columbia, Martin Williams of Bend, OR.

Along with her husband Frank, Bette was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Kuntz, parents, and siblings, Darwin “Danny” Williams, Earl Williams, Raymond Williams, and Marilyn Carol Williams.

Bette enjoyed fishing and listening to music, especially Blue Grass. She loved spending time with her family and taking walks in nature.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Centralia Parks and Rec for a youth fishing day and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
