Bows, wrapping paper, needed for Angel Tree gifts
There is a new home for your unused or unwanted gift wrapping paper, bows, ribbon and tape.
The Centralia Chamber of Commerce is accepting donations of those items to help with their Angel Tree program.
This year, instead of the chamber of commerce wrapping the presents donated to the Angel Tree recipients, at least 30, estimated Sam Sudbrock, director of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce, the chamber is doing something a little different.
It is supplying the donated gifts to the recipient families unwrapped, along with the items needed to gift wrap them.
There are several reasons for that, Sudbrock said.
“We want to ensure the gifts donated are new and in good condition. Also, we want the parents to know what their children are receiving. In the past when we distributed wrapped gifts, they did not know what their children would be getting Christmas morning.
