Benefitting Centralia Cub Scouts
The tractor pulls are returning to Centralia.
Saturday, July 23, the Centralia Fairgrounds will host three.
A pedal pull, an antique tractor pull and a fire-breathing, black-smoke spewing high-performance pull will give fans plenty of opportunity to get their pulling fix.
The pedal pull and antique pull are sponsored by Centralia Cub Scout Pack 90 and they hope to make the event an annual one to raise funds for the pack.
The pedal pull starts 11 a.m., the antique pull begins at 1 p.m., with concessions opening for lunch at 11.
The big iron, the Missouri Farm Pullers pull begins 7 p.m.
Michael Orth, one of the organizers, along with Randell Galloway and Bob Nichols said if the antique pull was still running by 7 they would split the tracks and the antique pull would continue one lane while the “hot farm tractors,” pulled on the other.
