Centralia, Hallsville varsity boys clash in the cold

Hallsville wins 48-39

Another chapter of the Route B Rivalry was written Wednesday night in Hallsville.

That is when the Centralia Panthers boys basketball team came to town.

Hallsville won the game, but Centralia made them work for it.

The Indians held the lead, sometimes 12 points, sometimes four, throughout the game.

They led 18-8 at the end of the first; 26-17 at halftime; 37-28 at the end of the third before finishing on

Jalen George led the game and the Indians with 27 points. Colton Hobbs scored 10 and Cameron Loyd -five.

Jackson Wells led Centralia with nine points. Kile Chitwood and Grant Erisman scored eight each and Beau Gordon scored six.

Hallsville hosts Southern Boone Friday night in Hallsville, while Centralia hits the road to play state-ranked Monroe City in Monroe City.
