Despite the nation-wide health concerns poised by COVID-19 a group of Centralians, pulled together to raise funds for Centralia youth and serve a savory drive-through breakfast at the Centralia First Christian Church.
This is the 25th year the club has served breakfast, flapjacks and sausage patties to go.
Normally the menu is “all you care to eat,” but with the Center for Disease Control’s COVID-19 social distancing requirements the clubs board opted
Using the club’s 50-year-old electric griddles, along with the churches commercial-grade gas stove, the Kiwanians served drive=through breakfast to at least 200 people.
They raised approximately $1,200 in the process.
Kiwanis past-president Nathan Chitwood discussed the projects Kiwanis supported while grilling a 24-pattie batch of sausage.
