Lady Panthers lose to Tigerettes 50-30
Centralia’s Lady Panthers proved they are a serious team Wednesday on Centralia High School’s Jim Enlow Court.
That is when they scored 30 points on the returning 2019 final four Macon Tigerettes.
While it was not always pretty, judging by Centralia fans’ applause, the effort was appreciated.
Macon led all four quarters, 14-5 in the first; 29-13 in the second; 45-19 in the third and they
finished the game up 50 to Centralia’s 30.
Fighting Macon’s man-to-man pressure defense, Jozelynn Bostick led Centralia with eight points, backed up by
Abbie Ross with five and Morgan Ross and Elly Crum with four each.
Lexi Miller led Macon with a game-high 14.
Centralia plays Boonville for third place, 6:30 p.m. Friday in Centralia.
Hallsville plays Macon for the championship 8:30 p.m., after having beat Boonville, 56-54.
