Local motorcycle enthusiasts and their friends are working together to help bring a merry Christmas to some Centralia children who might otherwise not have one.
Last year the Sovereign Disciples Motorcycle Club held its third annual toy run.
Working with Tyler Romine of the Friendship Church, the Disciples brought together 80 bikers and friends and collected hundreds of toys to help the children of Centralia families in need have better Christmases.
This year the challenge is bigger and the need greater.
“The need this year exceeds what we have seen in quite some time.” Romine said. “The Sovereign Disciples are doing toy run again this year on Nov 21 at 10am starting at Dollar General and ending at Friendship Place. Toys will be distributed locally through Friendship Penny Toy Store.”
Brandon Beasley, known as Red by his friends in the Disciples, said the group and its friends will just be accepting and delivering the toys to Romine and he will be distributing them.
