The Centralia Panthers won their final two home dual meets of the regular season, Tuesday, Jan. 26, by beating Columbia Rockbridge 60-21 and Southern Boone County 56-3.
With several weight classes open on both opposing teams, there were only five contested matches against Rock Bridge and six contested matches versus Southern Boone. However, of the 11 matches on the evening Centralia went 8-3. Jesse Shannon (120) began the action against Southern Boone by pinning the Class 4, 9th ranked Kade Scheer in 36 seconds followed by an 8-4 decision by Zane Dubes (126) over Charlie Uhrig. At 132, Wyatt Bryson lost a close 4-0 decision to Cole Eppy and Kyden Wilkerson (138) pinned Hunter Jennings in 5:47. Following a double forfeit at the 145-weight class, Braden Shelton bumped up to 152 and scored a 16-0 tech fall against Austin Skaggs, ranked 8th in Class 4. Khader Saleh

In the nights’ finale versus Rock Bridge, Centralia went 3-2. Bryson pinned Preston Rodriquez in 1:40, Kyden Wilkerson scored a second period fall over Raymond Foster and Shelton again wrestled up to 152 to beat Owen Twaddle by pin in 2:23. Saleh lost a hard fought match to 6th ranked Marquis McCaster and Seth Hasekamp (285) suffered a 3-1 decision loss to Drew Nichols.
