Centralia R-VI Board votes in late Mondays

Posted on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 6:53 am

A Monday-morning hour was one of the main topics the 19-member audience of 19 of the March 9 Centralia R-VI School Board meeting heard discussed.

Starting with the 2020-21 school year, the school district will begin classes one hour later than it has in the past.

“It’s been positive feedback up to this point,” said R-VI Superintendent Stephen Chancellor regarding feedback. “Every Monday we’ve scheduled to have school we will start one hour later, for example, 9 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.… Everything that coincides with that is bumped back one hour… On days we are not scheduled to have school we don’t do it.”  For the full article see this weeks edition of the Centralia Fireside Guard
