Makes several new hires
A scant, four-member audience attended the May 13 meeting of the Centralia R-VI School board.
All board members attended, and along with the audience, heard about hires, resignations, and work being done to improve the district’s facilities.
R-VI superintendent Steven Chancellor opened the meeting with thoughts on the upcoming year’s budget and how predictions are being refined.
That includes a construction payment in the May payables, for infrastructure work, which he said would have measurable effect on the budget.
He also reviewed the district’s hires and
resignations.
Resignations included:
•Katie Greene, 1st Grade
• Miranda Humphrey, Nurse
• Griffin Anderson, Paraprofessional
Hires for the 2024-25 School Year included:
• Chase Harper, MS SPED
• Hannah Green, 1st Grade
• Kendra Smith, Ag
