Centralia Tournament update

Centralia Panthers win, Sturgeon Bulldogs lose

It was a mixed bag for area teams tonight at the Centralia Tournament.

Centralia’s boys team beat North Callaway, 56-36.

Sturgeon lost to Macon, 59-26.

Macon led all four quarters against Sturgeon: 23-0, 35-15, 57-19 and 59-29.

Blake Darwent and Jacob Brooks led Sturgeon with eight each. Logan Flashpohler and Ben Doss backed them up four each.

Isaac Nobles and Maurice Magruder led Macon with 13 each.

Centralia led all four against North Callaway: 17-9 in the first, 30-15

at halftime, 40-24 in the third and finished with 56-36.

Jackson Wells led Centralia with 13. Kile Chitwood backed him with 11 and Grant Erisman scored 10.

Cody Cash and Noah Scrogum led North Callaway with eight each.

Harrisburg won the tournament Saturday night, 64-36 over Salisbury.

The Centralia Tournament boys’ All-Tournament team was later announced. They are:
