One of the mainstays of the Centralia salon scene is redefining itself with a grand opening.
Chateau Hairstyling, at 317 East Singleton, is holding a grand opening from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 29.
“We want people to come in see what we’ve got to offer, learn about our new services and meet the new girls,” longtime owner-operator Vicki Dean said. “I am excited about what we are going to be offering. Come by and see us meet the girls and enjoy some refreshments.”
Dean is expanding her staff.
Her two new employees are Sierra Ganett and Ashley.
Dean said they would be part time at first, but that will change as people see what they can do and demand for their skills increases.
Sierra, Dean said, will specialize in nails. “She is our new nail technician,” Dean said. “She does artistic and acrylic nails, just about any art you can come up with, she can do.”
Sierra also does pedicures.
Ashley is Chateau’s new skin technician.
“She can do micro abrasion and all sorts of other techniques,” Dean said. “Her experience is really impressive. She does skin-care techniques that before, you had to go to Columbia to get. Now you can get them done here in Centralia and keep your business local.”
That is not all Ashley does.
Dean said her new skin technician is also expert at full-body waxes, individual eyelash replacement and pedicures.
In that she will join Chateau’s current pedicure expert, Lynelle Beasely, who Dean said had a devoted following.
The Chateau’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday thru Thursday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
