Darline Swindell, 84, Sturgeon, MO passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born February 8, 1938, in Harrisburg, MO
the daughter of the late Lloyd and Nancy (Fenton) Current. Darline graduated from Renick High School in 1956. She met Raymond Russell Swindell, and they were married on July 20, 1957. Mr. Swindell preceded her in death on September 28, 2009.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Renee Bradley and her husband Donnie of Sturgeon, MO; one son Darren Swindell and his wife Chris of Sturgeon, MO; one sister Geneva Snyder of California; three grandchildren Melissa Bradley and Erik Cranmer; Chelsey Taft and her husband Shaun and Erik Swindell; three great grandchildren Abigail Fauke, Luke Taft and Logan Taft; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband three brothers Raymond Current, Joe Current and Lewis Current preceded her in death.
Darline first worked at Orscheln Brake Lever in Moberly, MO for a few years and later was a substitute Postmaster in both Clark and Sturgeon. She enjoyed going with her friends to dinner and the country music show in Macon, MO on Saturdays. She loved gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren .
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery near Clark, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO.
