David Wesley Gooding, 80 of Hallsville died, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the Red Top Church Cemetery in Hallsville.
David was born on October 21, 1941, at the Gooding family farm, the son of Ezra Wesley and Mary (Cook) Gooding.
David attended the Hallsville Elementary Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Hallsville High School.
After graduating high school, David was employed by State Farm for many years, and A.B. Chance of Centralia. He retired from Eaton Corp in Lincoln, IL.
He married Nancy Spinder in 1962.
David is survived by his daughter, Melissa Braun (Karl); three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren all of Valparaiso, IN. Sisters, Doris Harlow (Charles), Hazel Keel (Scott); several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael David Gooding, his brothers, Wayne and Dale Gooding.
