Eileen Louise (Rochau) Myers passed away on September 30, 2024 in Asheville, North Carolina at the age of 91. She was born in Davenport, Iowa to Fred and Edna (Weiskopf) Rochau on September 18, 1933. She grew up on the family farm and was active in 4-H. She met her future husband, Frank Myers, in Government class during their senior year in high school. They married two years later on December 26, 1953. They had a life-long love affair. Their children Erik and Dyann were born in Minneapolis, Minnesota where Eileen worked as an executive secretary for the Dain Investment firm.

They moved to Centralia, Missouri in 1969. There Eileen was very active in the community as a member of the Garden Club, the bowling league, bridge groups and was a beloved Girl Scout troop leader. She also worked with Dave Holsinger at the Shelter Insurance Agency.

In 1994 Frank and Eileen moved to Columbia, Missouri and enjoyed a retirement full of cross country travels and many local activities. They loved attending art gallery openings and wine tastings. Eileen especially enjoyed her many bridge and quilting friends and her Aquacize group.

After Frank passed away in 2021, Eileen moved to Asheville to be close to her daughter.

She will be remembered fondly for her sense of fun, quick laughter and beautiful smile.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Beloved Asheville, www.belovedasheville.com, an organization which is helping with the current crisis in the Asheville area caused by Hurricane Helene.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank. She is survived by her children, Erik Myers (Joy) of McCall, Idaho and Dyann Myers (Bill Oldfather) of Asheville, North Carolina.
