George L. Reichert, Sr., 78, Sturgeon, MO passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the Heritage Hall Skilled Nursing in Centralia, MO. He was born February 19, 1944, the son of the late Cecil and Mildred Reichert. On June 23, 1962, he was united in marriage to Marcia (Ellsberry) Reichert.
In addition to his wife Marcia of 59 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son George Reichert, Jr. and his wife Terry of O’Fallon, MO; one daughter Karen Truesdell and her husband Jay of Sturgeon, MO; two sisters Margie Sly of Ewing, MO and Barbara Harbison and her husband George of Moberly, MO; three grandchildren Jessie White and her husband Ethan, Rachel Conway and her husband Dakota and Stephanie Hanna and her husband Josh; two great grandchildren Kalen and Payton and one on the way; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, one daughter Sheryl Reichert and one infant brother preceded him in death.
George first worked for A.B. Chance Co. in Centralia, MO, later for Vickers in Columbia, MO and finally for Alternative Community Training (A.C.T.) for many years. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and taking trips to Branson, MO and Silver Dollar City.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO.
