Glennis Lannert, 92, of Sturgeon, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023. She was born January 21, 1930, in Edcouch, TX to the union of Charles Montgomery and Mary Virginia (Hamrick) Adkins.
Survivors include a son Robert G “Bob” Lannert and his wife Kay, daughter Janet Lee Fricke and her fiance Dean Souders all of Sturgeon, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a brother Darrell Schulz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She married Robert Peter Lannert, March 4, 1949 and he preceded her in death, April 7, 2002, also preceding her in death were her parents, a son Kenneth Wayne Lannert, a daughter Debra Ann Lannert, brothers Charles and Donald and other relatives.
Glennis loved the Lord and was a dedicated member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Moberly, Mo. She was very passionate about serving the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, a pianist, L.W.M.L. member and working in the kitchen. Most of all she loved helping her brothers and sisters in Christ to do His work. She also loved being their friend and all the warm hugs that she received. Thank you Jesus for my Christian parents, my pastors and all of my loving friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church. She most wanted the money to serve the Lord.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held at the Cater Funeral Home . Funeral services honoring Glennis’s life were held the next morning at Zion Lutheran Church. Committal prayer and burial took place at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
