Indians beat Colonels 79-38
The Indians won their last home game of the regular season with a bang. The beat the visiting MMA Colonels 79-38 in four quarters of fast-paced, quick shooting basketball.
MMA scored first with a three-point shot in the first 10 seconds.
Hallsville’s Clayton Cook did not think that was right and answered with one of his own, his first of six for the game.
Then Davis Forge stole the ball from MMA drove down court and made a behind the back pass to Cooper Crane, who promptly sky-dunked it in for two more.
Then at the four-minute mark, Cook sank another three.
The first quarter ended with Hallsville on top 22-9.
The Indians kept on scoring, though MMA sank a few. Halftime saw Hallsville ahead, 48-24.
The Indians slowed in the third, only scoring 19 points while holding MMA to four, finishing the quarter 67-28.
As Hallsville Head Coach Brannon Bartlett gradually pulled his seniors out, each greeted with hugs from the coaching staff, the Indians finished the game, 79-38 and claimed their 16th win of
Cook led Hallsville with 34 points, followed by Crane with 13 and Jalen George with 10.
Erickson Kagame led MMA with 12.
