The Hallsivlle Indians boys basketball team advanced to the championship round the evening of March 1 when they beat Macon 78-65.
Early, it was an uphill slog for the Indians against number-one-seed Macon.
Macon won the first quarter 20-15, after getting up by five before Hallsville got on the board.
The Indians turned things around by halftime and went into the locker room witha 35-30 lead.
Macon pounded back and took the third quarter, 48-47.
But Hallsville rallied and dusted Macon in the fourth to win 78-65.
They were led by Colton Garner with 25 points, Issac Stinson with 22, along with Xavier Stinson and Cameron Cox, who scored eight each.
Marcus McGruder led Macon with 18.
Hallsville plays Kirksville for the district championship 6 p.m. Friday, March 3. at Moberly High School.
