On September 1 students started back to school in the Hallsville R-IV School District with the 2nd Annual Paint the Town Purple and Gold event. Like last year many local businesses, churches, and families supported our students with various colorful signs welcoming students back for the 2020-2021 school year.

Hallsville preschool teacher, Victoria Smith, explained “Even though the rain soaked some of the signs, it was still a success! Between the teamwork from the community and the support of the families, Hallsville was able to pull this off again. With the last school year ending so unexpectedly, it was important to try and make the students feel special and to let them know

Last week members of the Hallsville R-IV School District participated in the second annual “Paint the town Purple.”

as teachers how excited everyone is to have them back.”

Smith said she hopes to continue this Paint the Town Purple and Gold event for many years to come. “I feel it is important for students to know how much they are loved and supported.”
