Hallsville loses, 48-34

It was a physical, hard-fought, competitive chunk of high school basketball, but thinks never quite came together for the Hallsville Indians.

They lost in the first round of the district tournament to the Macon Tigers the evening of Monday, February 28 on Centralia High School’s Jim Enlow Court.

Macon stayed on top the whole, low-scoring, game.

They led 9-2 at the end of the first. They were still up, 24-10 at halftime and led 37-23 going into the fourth.

Hallsville got within nine points a few times, but could never close the gap and lost 28-34.

Isaac Stinson led the Indians with nine points, followed by A.J. Austene with six and Zach Jouret with five.

Boston Douglas led Macon and the game with 19.
