Hubbell, Champion, Forrest, fight local holiday hunger

Noon at the Hubbell Engineering Building, it was time for another chapter in the event, once again organized by Hubbell’s Richard Dickerson, to distribute food bags at Chance Elementary, Centralia Intermediate School and Chester Boren Middle School to ensure that this year’s Buddy Pack and Adopt-a-Family programs with Hubbell recipients have additional food to supplement their families’ meals over the Christmas break.

This year, Dickerson said, the project will help 103 children’s families over break, as well as five additional families Hubbell employees adopted to help with Christmas-season food and Christmas presents. “Between those five families there are 23 children we are helping have a better Christmas,” he said.
